**Job Overview:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, data entry, and payroll management. **Duties:** - Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures - Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data - Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits - Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted - Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues - Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients - Generate financial reports detailing accounts payable status **Qualifications:** - Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role - Proficient in accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft) and MS Office, particularly Excel - Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports - Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations - Excellent analytical skills to analyze financial data and detect errors - Knowledge of SOX compliance and Ceridian payroll system is a plus - Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills will be valued.
